Tackling inequality and delivering inclusive services Improve the employment rate for disabled people. Reducing violence against women and girls. Reduce the gap in life expectancy (and healthy life expectancy) between different groups in the district. Young people who are of Asian or Black heritage achieve Early Years, KS2 and KS4 outcomes in line with national averages for all pupils.
Measure The number of people who are long term sick and economically inactive is <19,050 (25,400 Mar 2025). [GBW health related inactivity] Halve the incidence of violence against women and girls (VAWG) by 2035. Closing the gaps (lowest to highest) on life and healthy life expectancy in specific wards [2025: Manningham, City, Bradford Moor]. The percentage of pupils who are Black or Asian meeting expected standards in reading, writing and maths at the end of Key Stage 2 is maintained in line with national (all pupils) by 2035.

The percentage of KS4 pupils who are Black or Asian achieving English and mathematics at grade 9-4 is maintained in line with national (all pupils) by 2035.
Tackling Poverty Reducing unemployment rates in particular wards and groups with the greatest prevalence.

Household income improves at a faster rate for those earning least.
Supporting community infrastructure – helping communities to support themselves. Increasing the number of people with long term conditions in the workplace though programmes such as Trailblazer and Accelerator. Improvements to outcomes for those eligible for Pupil Premium by actions such as poverty proofing the school day.
Measure The claimant rates reduce in selected wards and are in line with Bradford average [2025: City, Manningham, Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor, Little Horton all greater than 1 in 8 people).

Reduce the employment gap rate between lone parents and those who are part of a couple. [GBW]

Increase real earnings in the bottom half of the income distribution. [GBW]
  Exceeding all targets in relation to engaging people with long term health conditions for delivery, outcomes and outputs from devolved skills provision (WYCA, DWP, GBW). Absence rates for pupils eligible for the Pupil Premium reduces and is maintained in line with national averages (all pupils) by 2035 (primary, secondary and special schools).
